Join Terry Collins and Jeff Barnes for the season finale of The Box Score, DTC Sports’ weekly sports talk show. Watertown Baseball Coach Mark Purvis, Gordonsville Softball Coach Jonathan Bush, and DeKalb County Soccer Coach Dylan Kleparek all join the show this week to talk about their spring sports teams’ upcoming season.

One of several state-wide Qualifying Rounds of the Fifth Annual Tennessee Songwriters Competition was held for the first time ever at the Harvester Performance & Event Center in Historic Downtown Smithville, Tennessee, on February 2, 2023.  

The event was co-sponsored by the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree, through the efforts of Kim Luton, the new President and Director of the Jamboree board –Kim also arranged for the very prestigious group of judges for the Songwriter Competition event, including:  

Darrin Vincent (of duo Dailey & Vincent, Grammy Award Winner, and Grand Ole Opry Member)

Vanissa Braswell Murphy (past Chair of the Music & Arts Department at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire)

Michelle Canning (Member of the International Bluegrass Music Association and a member of IBMA Songwriters Committee)

James Kee (Member of East Nash Grass, Songwriter, Band Leader of “House Band” at Smithville Jamboree)  

DTC Communications / DTC3 TV was glad to be on-hand to professionally recorded the entire event in 4k with multiple camera angles to air online and on television on the DTC3 TV channel for subscribers to the DTC TV IPTV service.

The 2022-23 High School Basketball season in Tennessee is officially underway! DTC Sports is set to go with its fourteenth season of basketball coverage on your local channel, DTC3. DTC Sports plans to feature 12 regular-season games throughout the 2022-23 season, with postseason tournament action to follow regular-season coverage. All games will be filmed on the nights they are played and will be replayed in the following days.

The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) has announced a documentary series, Life Between the Gates, that will give viewers an inside look at life for racers on the WPST. This nine-part series will profile the world’s best men’s and women’s alpine ski racers as they travel to top ski destinations and compete in the exciting head-to-head race format. The program will air on DTC3 on Friday and Saturday nights at midnight, starting this evening.

This documentary series takes a cinematic approach to detail the early alarms, time spent away from home, the training, the crashes and the drama surrounding professional athletes as they battle it out to create their spot in skiing history. Race fans will also get a glimpse of nightlife and activities at each resort in a holistic version of what the WPST embodies to athletes and their supporters. With professional ski racers hailing from all around the world, including Olympians, World Champions, World Cup Racers and NCAA All-Americans, “Life Between the Gates,” showcases relationships, rivalries and more.
