Gordonsville & Smith County graduations added to DTC3 graduation lineup

The 2017 school year has come to a close across our region, and DTC3 was on hand to film the Gordonsville and Smith County high school graduations on May 19 & 20, respectively. Those graduations will air several times in the coming days on DTC3 and DTC3 HD (channel 303).

The Gordonsville High School graduation will air on DTC3 on the following dates:

Tuesday, May 30 - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 31 - 1 p.m.
Thursday, June 1 - 8:30 p.m.
Friday, June 2 - 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 3 - 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 4 - 8:30 p.m.

2017 Eastside Egg Drop coming to DTC3

The 2017 Eastside Elementary School Egg Drop was held on Tuesday afternoon, May 17, and DTC3 was on hand for all the festivities!

Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in Mrs. Amy Underwood's Science Class at the school constructed a "Lunar Lander" and attempted to protect their "astronaut" (the egg) from a 40-foot drop from a DTC bucket truck. How did they fare? Find out by watching the Eastside Egg Drop on DTC3!!

2017 Woodland Egg Drop to air on DTC3

DTC3 was at Woodland Elementary School on Thursday morning, May 18, to film the annual Woodland Egg Drop, and the program will air in the coming days on DTC3.

Eighth grade students at the school demonstrated Newton's Laws of Motion, as they attempted to protect an egg from a 40-foot drop from a DTC bucket truck. The students used their creativity to develop a container that would protect the egg from such a fall. How did they fare? Find out by watching the Egg Drop!!

DTC3 salutes America with special Memorial Day lineup

DTC3 and DTC Communications will proudly salute our nation's veterans with a special weekend of programming leading up to Memorial Day, which is Monday, May 29. Several patriotic programs and movies will be featured, including DTC3's locally produced program, "Saluting America," which turns the spotlight on the stories of local veterans.

The special Memorial Day weekend programming will begin midday on Saturday, May 28, and continue on through Memorial Day on Monday. Memorial Day weekend programming is as follows:
